SC Judge: Workplace Harassment Is About Control, Not Desire

In a recent Supreme Court judgment, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah emphasized that workplace sexual harassment is “less about sexual desire and more about control and domination. The case involved a female doctor, Sidra Zafar, who accused her driver, Muhammad Din, of harassment and misconduct. The Punjab Ombudsperson had previously ruled in Zafars favor, leading to Din compulsory retirement decision upheld by the Supreme Court. Justice Shah highlighted that such harassment undermines womens fundamental rights to equality and dignity.
