Rubio sent to Israel to smooth things over with Netanyahu, following the airstrike on Qatar

Jarida Report

Israel’s attack on Qatar has evoked outrage in the region—forcing president Donald Trump to condemn the incident. In order to ensure that Israel isn’t offended and the ties with the country are not severed, United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been sent to Israel.
Rubio is set to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as tensions mount in the Middle East over the violent and unprecedented attack by Israel on Qatar.

Rubio’s trip, which began on Sunday, comes after US President Donald Trump criticised Israel over the brazen and failed attack on Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital. Rubio ensured the fact that the ties between the two nations remain the same however.
