The Punjab Local Government Department, in collaboration with NADRA, has officially launched a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application to digitise civil registrations across the province. Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq launched the E-Registration App, declaring that people would be able to register births, deaths, and marriages as well as divorces from the comfort of their homes. The move aims to make these services more efficient and transparent.
As per the minister, the app is totally integrated with the NADRA data system and will make sure that once a record is entered, it will be automatically updated on the national database without requiring any intervention. “With this online system, we will be eliminating any delay and discrepancies on the documents on behalf of millions of people,” he said.
