The Punjab government has earmarked Rs35 billion for development projects in NA-120, the Lahore constituency of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Of this, around Rs19 billion is already being used for ongoing work including road construction, sewerage upgrades, and water supply improvements.
The funding is part of a larger plan to revamp Lahore, with Rs70 billion allocated in the first phase and another Rs70 billion expected in the second. Other prominent PML-N leaders, including Atta Tarar and Aleem Khan, are also seeking similar development funds for their areas, raising concerns over political favoritism in resource distribution.
