Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended her greetings to the Muslim community on the arrival of Ramadan, praying that the holy month brings blessings, peace, and stability across the Islamic world. In a statement from the provincial capital, she urged citizens to offer special prayers during Sehri, Iftar, and Tarawih for the safety and prosperity of the country and nation.
She highlighted that the Quran emphasizes that even the smallest good deed is rewarded, and Ramadan provides a rare opportunity to earn Allah’s pleasure, mercy, and blessings. Maryam Nawaz also called for keeping tables open for the needy during Sehri and Iftar, stressing that Ramadan fosters values of compassion, gratitude, and generosity. “We are grateful to Allah for the opportunity to benefit from the blessings of this sacred month,” she added.
