Punjab Announces Much-Needed Summer Vacation for Schools from May 28

Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has announced that all schools in the province will commence summer vacation on May 28, 2025, due to an ongoing intense heatwave. To mitigate the effects of rising temperatures, revised school timings will be implemented from May 21, with classes scheduled from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM until the start of the vacation. This decision was made to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid extreme heat conditions.
