This meeting is of utmost significance and comes as the prime minister travelled to the US for the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two are “expected to discuss matters of mutual interest as well as regional and global situation”.
Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir is also reported to accompany the PM, while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will join President Trump.
