On the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government has taken a significant step toward fully digitalising Hajj operations.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of IT to implement Hajj digitalisation. The ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Secretary Religious Affairs Dr Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan, and other senior officials. Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi and Director General National IT Board Dr Khalid Rafiq signed the MoU.
