The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather forecast for Basant celebrations in Punjab, particularly in Lahore. According to the PDMA, pleasant weather is expected in Lahore and the surrounding areas during Basant. The forecast further states that from February 6 to 8, the weather in Lahore is likely to remain dry, with partly cloudy skies.
During the Basant days, temperatures in the city are expected to range between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the PDMA said that rain is expected in northern areas, while snowfall is forecast in mountainous regions during this period. Due to rain and snowfall, an increase in cold intensity is likely in upper areas, and citizens have been advised to remain cautious.
