Former member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s executive committee, Hanan Ashrawi was extremely critical of a twitter post by former United States President Joe Biden celebrating the news of the ceasefire and hostage agreement. She responded to it by saying, “Your administration worked relentlessly to veto all ceasefire resolutions, to supply genocidal Israel with all the weapons & funds it needed to pursue its death and destruction agenda, to lie repeatedly on behalf of Israel & ensure that your public discourse exonerated it & blamed the Palestinians.
The whole world witnessed your abject servility to & and complicity with Genocidal Israel. It’s not just history that will judge you, but the ICC & other international courts & tribunals that try war criminals. The less you issue proclamations the better.”
