Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, visited SpaceX headquarters in Los Angeles on May 20, 2025, to explore the potential of Starlink in bridging Pakistan’s digital divide. During the visit, Sheikh and his delegation were briefed on Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite infrastructure and its capacity to enhance broadband access, particularly in underserved and remote regions of Pakistan. The ambassador emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering innovation through international partnerships, aiming to bolster digital infrastructure and commercial collaboration. Starlink is expected to commence operations in Pakistan by the end of 2025, following the provisional license granted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
