Pakistan Women Set 218-Run Target for Ireland in World Cup Qualifier Opener

In the opening match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers held in Lahore on April 9, 2025, Pakistan’s women’s cricket team set a target of 218 runs for Ireland. The hosts were bowled out in the 49th over, having been at 153 for 3 at one stage. Aliya Riaz top-scored with 52 off 58 balls, including four boundaries and a six, while Sidra Amin contributed a patient 50 off 110 deliveries. For Ireland, Jane Maguire was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs in her 10-over spell.
