Pakistan Railways Aims to Launch Rs2.3 Trillion ML-1 Project This Year

Pakistan Railways is preparing to initiate the long-anticipated Main Line-1 (ML-1) project within the current year, despite awaiting final government funding approvals. The project, estimated at Rs2.3 trillion (approximately $6.68 billion), is a cornerstone of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and aims to modernize the country’s primary railway line from Karachi to Peshawar.
