Pakistan Army responded effectively and swiftly to unprovoked aggression from the Afghan Taliban regime and killed 133 Taliban militants and injured more than 200. The armed forces launched ‘Operation Ghazab lil-Haq’ and destroyed 27 posts of the Afghan Taliban and captured nine posts. In an effective counter-attack, more than 36 tanks were destroyed, artillery guns and APCs of the Afghan Taliban were destroyed, and the Afghan Taliban fled, abandoning many posts and hideouts.
The Pakistan Air Force also carried out a series of attacks on the Afghan Taliban, destroying the Afghan battalion and sector headquarters, destroying the ammunition depot, and hoisting the national flag at seven Afghan posts. PM’s spokesperson on Foreign Media, Mosharraf Zaidi, said that in response to unprovoked Afghan attacks, Pakistani counterstrikes have been authorised and several iterations of these strikes have been conducted.
