Neeraj Chopra Launches Invitational Event to Pave Way for Diamond League in India

Indian Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has launched a new track and field competition named the Neeraj Chopra Invitational, aiming to boost athletics in India. He hopes this initiative will eventually lead to India hosting a leg of the prestigious Diamond League, an elite global athletics series. The event is organized with the Reliance Foundation and will feature international athletes. Chopra emphasized the importance of giving Indian athletes more exposure and experience by bringing top-tier events to home soil, rather than them always having to go abroad.
