NA Panel Recommends Bringing Foreign Exam Boards Under Education Ministry

The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Education has proposed that all foreign examination boards, including Cambridge and IB, be placed under the oversight of the Ministry of Education and the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). The committee raised concerns about the lack of regulation and transparency in these boards’ operations in Pakistan. Members stressed the need for standardization, equal treatment of students, and government control to ensure fairness, especially after recent controversies involving paper leaks.
