Jarida Report

On March 20, 2025, Karachi police arrested Kamran Qureshi, father of Armaghan—the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case—during a crackdown on drug dealers. The arrest took place at a residence in DHA Phase 5, Gizri, where authorities seized 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘ice’), a 9mm pistol, two magazines, and 10 bullets. Qureshi faces charges under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act and for possession of unlicensed weapons.

The investigation into the murder of 23-year-old Mustafa Amir, who was kidnapped and allegedly killed by friends on January 6, continues. His body was reportedly placed in his car’s trunk and set ablaze in Hub, Balochistan. Armaghan, the prime suspect, has confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody.

Authorities are also examining Armaghan’s financial activities, having traced multiple merchant and cryptocurrency accounts linked to him, as part of the ongoing investigation.
