Mohamed Salah Signs Contract Extension with Liverpool Until 2027

Jarida Report

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Anfield until 2027. The 32-year-old Egyptian international, who joined Liverpool in 2017 from AS Roma, was previously set to become a free agent in June 2025. Salah expressed his excitement about the new deal, stating, “I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.”

This season, Salah has been in outstanding form, scoring 32 goals in all competitions and leading the Premier League’s Golden Boot race with 27 goals. His consistent performance has been instrumental in Liverpool’s pursuit of the league title, with the team currently holding an 11-point lead with seven games remaining.

Manager Arne Slot welcomed Salah’s contract extension, highlighting the forward’s immense value to the team. Slot noted that Salah’s decision to stay would positively influence Liverpool’s future transfer endeavors.

Salah’s new contract is reportedly worth £41.6 million in total, with a weekly salary increase to £400,000. Despite interest from the Saudi Pro League offering £130 million annually, Salah chose to remain at Liverpool, valuing his legacy and ambition to win more trophies with the club.
