Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai visited her hometown of Barkana in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla district on March 5, marking her first return since the 2012 Taliban attack. Accompanied by her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, and husband, Asser Malik, she met family members, including her uncle Ramazan, who recently underwent heart surgery. Malala also visited the school and college she established in 2018, providing free education to approximately 1,000 girls in the district. She interacted with students, encouraging them to pursue their studies for a brighter future.Â
