Light rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Tuesday brought a much-needed break from the heat, lowering temperatures to around 29°C. Areas like Saidpur, Golra, and Bokra recorded light to moderate showers. According to the Met Office, the rain was caused by a low-pressure system over Rajasthan combined with monsoon currents and a westerly wave. More rain and thunderstorms are expected over the next two days, with officials warning of possible urban flooding and landslides in northern areas, including the twin cities.
