Kurram Mine Collapse

On Sunday, An explosion caused part of a coal mine in Tora Wari, Central Kurram to collapse, leaving 6 miners trapped. 5 of them lost their lives while one was saved, 3 miners are still missing. According to rescue officials, the explosion triggered a surge in underground water which led to the collapse. Rescue teams from the Hangu and Kurram Districts launched a joint operation to save the trapped workers.
