Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced a 13% increase in the province’s education budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Speaking at the first convocation of Gajju Khan Medical College in Swabi, he emphasized that the additional funds would be used to strengthen educational infrastructure, which is essential for improving learning standards. Gandapur also highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing health facilities, including the establishment of a cardiac center at Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital and the completion of GKMC’s own building, which has faced delays due to funding issues. He noted that the province’s financial situation has improved, allowing for timely salary and pension payments, and the repayment of Rs50 billion in debt. Â
