The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a case involving alleged misleading accusations against state institutions and damaging their credibility.
The court ordered that Sohail Afridi be arrested and produced before it after he failed to appear despite a summons. Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah heard the case registered against Sohail Afridi. Further hearing of the case has been adjourned until February 10. It is pertinent to note that a case has already been registered against Sohail Afridi by the NCCIA under the PECA Act.
