Jarida Report

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will travel to Tianjin, China, on July 14 to attend a high-level meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) foreign ministers. The meeting will bring together representatives from all ten member countries, including China, Russia, India, and Iran, to prepare for the upcoming SCO leaders’ summit later this year.

Dar is also expected to hold sideline talks with regional counterparts, including Uzbekistan’s foreign minister, to discuss progress on the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway project. The visit comes at a time of heightened regional tensions and growing focus on economic connectivity within the SCO bloc.
