Jarida Report

Iran’s foreign minister says military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is ongoing and not new, describing it as part of a longstanding strategic partnership. He was asked if Iran is receiving help from Russia, Abbas Araghchi said in an interview the two countries have maintained military ties for years.

“We have a strategic partnership with Russia,” he said. “Military cooperation between Iran and Russia is not something new. It’s not a secret. It has been in the past and it is still there, and will continue in the future.”

He was also asked whether Russia is aiding Iran in locating US targets, the minister said he did not have detailed military information but reiterated relations between the two countries are strong. “As far as I know we have a very good partnership with Russia. They are helping us in many different directions, but I don’t have any detailed information.”
