However, Iran remains cautious, particularly regarding potential sabotage by Israel, and has called on the U.S. to rein in Israel if it seeks a deal with Iran.
President Trump has expressed a preference for a verified nuclear peace agreement with Iran, indicating a potential openness to negotiations. This stance contrasts with his previous maximum pressure approach, which included efforts to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero to prevent Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Iran maintains that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and has no intention to build nuclear weapons.
