On January 26, 2025, India celebrated its 76th Republic Day with a grand parade in New Delhi, showcasing the nation’s military strength and cultural diversity. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended as the chief guest, marking the first time troops from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) participated in the parade.Â
The festivities featured colorful floats, traditional dances, and a display of India’s domestically built defense systems. The parade culminated with a fly-past by air force jets.Â
The event was broadcast live, and similar celebrations took place across India, including in Kashmir, amidst tight security.Â
