Former prime minister Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking suspension of his sentence and release on bail in the Toshakhana II case. According to sources, a miscellaneous application has been filed through barristers Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry to suspend the sentence in the Toshakhana II case and early hearing of £190 million case.
The plea in the Toshakhana case states that Imran Khan has been suffering from a serious medical condition affecting his right eye. According to diagnosis by Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), a blood clot has severely damaged his vision. The counsels submitted that this illness cannot be treated inside the prison.
