Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi Convicted in Al-Qadir Trust Case

Jarida Report

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were convicted in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust corruption case on Friday. A makeshift court at Adiala Jail sentenced Khan to 14 years and Bushra to seven years in prison. Fines of Rs1 million and Rs500,000 were also imposed on the couple. Judge Nasir Javed Rana announced the delayed verdict, marking a major legal blow for the PTI founder, who was indicted alongside his spouse in February 2024 following the general elections. The high-profile case underscores escalating political and legal challenges for the former premier.
