IHC Summons Islamabad IG Over Disappearance of Journalist Ahmad Noorani’s Brothers

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the city’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) to appear on March 26 regarding the disappearance of journalist Ahmad Noorani’s two brothers, Muhammad Saifur Rehman Haider and Muhammad Ali, who were allegedly abducted from their Islamabad residence early Wednesday morning. The summons follows a petition filed by their mother, Amina Bashir, who claims her sons were forcibly taken by unidentified individuals, purportedly from intelligence agencies, in retaliation for Noorani’s investigative journalism. During the hearing, Justice Raja Inam Ameen Minhas expressed dissatisfaction with the police’s progress and report on the case.
