Hurricane Melissa Makes Landfall in Cuba after Massive destruction left behind in Jamaica

The system is expected to track directly over southeastern Cuba for the next few hours, bringing damaging winds, flooding rain and life-threatening storm surge up to 12 feet above normal tide levels. Melissa is so far responsible for at least seven deaths – three in Jamaica during storm preparations, three in Haiti, and one in the Dominican Republic.
