In a groundbreaking event, China hosted the world’s first half-marathon featuring humanoid robots competing alongside human runners in Beijing’s Yizhuang district. The race included 21 robots from various Chinese tech companies and institutions, each running on a separate track parallel to over 12,000 human participants. The standout performer, “Tiangong Ultra,” developed by the Beijing Innovation Center of Human Robotics, completed the 21-kilometer course in 2 hours and 40 minutes, requiring only three battery changes. This event showcased significant advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence, highlighting China’s commitment to integrating technology into everyday life and sports.
