Heavy rain batters Hyderabad, leaves one dead and three injured

Jarida Report

A powerful downpour hit Hyderabad on Sunday, flooding streets and low-lying areas within minutes. The city recorded 53mm of rain in just half an hour, overwhelming drainage systems and knocking out power in several neighborhoods.

Tragedy struck in the Timber Market area when the roof of a shop collapsed during the storm. One man, Naek Muhammad, lost his life, while three others were injured and taken to Liaquat University Hospital.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the situation and ordered emergency drainage and relief efforts. Social media videos showed waist-deep water in parts of the city as residents struggled to cope with the sudden deluge.
