Global Calls for Ceasefire as Israeli Strikes Intensify in Gaza

Jarida Report

Israel launched extensive airstrikes on the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, marking the most significant offensive since a January ceasefire. The attacks resulted in over 400 Palestinian deaths, including many women and children, and left hundreds injured. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the operation aims to pressure Hamas into releasing Israeli hostages, with plans to intensify military actions. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the strikes as acts of genocide and called for urgent international intervention. Global actors, including the United Nations, have urged for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties.
