Four Dead, 31 Injured as Passenger Bus Overturns in Balochistan’s Kacchi District

On May 29, 2025, a Daewoo passenger bus traveling from Sadiqabad to Quetta overturned on National Highway N-65 near Haji Shaher in Balochistan’s Kacchi District, resulting in four fatalities and 31 injuries. According to Dr. Jamshed Marri of Sibi Teaching Hospital, the accident was attributed to high speed. Rescue teams promptly responded, transporting the deceased and injured to Sibi Teaching Hospital, while four critically injured individuals were moved to Quetta for advanced medical care. Among the injured were the bus driver and conductor. Initial police investigations suggest speeding as the primary cause, with further inquiries ongoing. Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind expressed condolences and assured support for the victims’ families.
