The meeting between the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister is likely to take place at 6pm, after which an announcement regarding the World Cup is expected.
Sources say a final decision on Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup is likely to be made today, and the decision will be taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to sources, once a decision to participate in the T20 World Cup is made, a decision regarding the unveiling of the national team’s kit will also be taken. However, if Pakistan does not go to the World Cup, the kit will not be unveiled. Sources add that the PCB has also prepared Plan B in case Pakistan does not participate in the World Cup.
