Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, visited Wana in South Waziristan on Wednesday to review the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness along the western border. The high-level visit focused on frontline readiness, intelligence-based operations and evolving developments along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier. Upon arrival, the Field Marshal was received by the Corps Commander, Peshawar.
During the visit, the Field Marshal laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada Monument, paying homage to the martyrs who rendered the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the motherland. He offered Fateha and reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the Shuhada remain the cornerstone of Pakistan’s security and national resilience.
