The Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (Matric Board) has clarified that female students appearing in ninth and tenth grade exams will not be asked to remove their veils at examination centres.
According to sources, the chairman said that the dignity and privacy of female students will be fully respected at all exam centres. The decision comes after recent complaints that strict or inappropriate checking procedures were being carried out with female students, raising concerns among parents.
Under the new directives, checking of female candidates will be conducted in a respectful and dignified manner, and female staff will be deployed for this purpose.
