Fashion Designer Mehmood Bhatti Alleges Assault by Lawyers in Lahore Court

On February 14, 2025, Pakistani-French fashion designer Mehmood Bhatti alleged that he was assaulted by a group of lawyers in a Lahore civil court, purportedly orchestrated by his brother, Advocate Munir Bhatti, with whom he is embroiled in a property dispute. Mehmood Bhatti claimed that during a previous hearing, approximately 30 lawyers attacked him, and lamented the lack of action against those involved. He expressed frustration over the prolonged litigation, stating that he has been traveling from Paris to Lahore for court proceedings over the past four years without resolution. The Lahore High Court has currently suspended the ongoing civil court proceedings related to this case.
