The Faizabad Interchange in Islamabad is set for a significant upgrade after 27 years, aiming to enhance traffic flow and transform it into an iconic city landmark. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during a recent site visit, emphasized the importance of effective traffic management during construction to minimize commuter inconvenience. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to add two new lanes and widen existing infrastructure to alleviate congestion for the thousands who use the interchange daily. Additionally, the CDA is working to integrate electric bus routes and schedules into Google Maps, facilitating easier access to eco-friendly transportation options for commuters.Â
