England Defeat Sri Lanka By 51 Runs In T20 World Cup

England defeated Sri Lanka by 51 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup Super Eight stage match on Sunday.

Batting first against Sri Lanka, England managed to score 146 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Phil Salt played an impressive knock, scoring a half-century. In the match being played in Pallekele, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field. Phil Salt and Jos Buttler opened the innings for England.

At a total of 16 runs, Jos Buttler was dismissed for 7. Jacob Bethell scored 3, Tom Banton 6, captain Harry Brook 14, and Sam Curran 11 before returning to the pavilion. Phil Salt top-scored with a brilliant 62 runs. Liam Dawson was dismissed for 6, while Will Jacks scored 21 and Overton added 10 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 95 runs.
