In a major development in the case involving the character assassination of superior court judges on social media, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested eight suspects from Lahore.
According to NCCIA officials, the arrested individuals were involved in running a defamatory campaign against judges of the superior judiciary through social media platforms. The suspects allegedly shared and circulated content aimed at mocking, insulting, and damaging the reputation of judges. In this connection, the NCCIA has submitted a detailed report to the Lahore High Court (LHC). Justice Ali Zia Bajwa is scheduled to hear the petition related to the matter later today.
