Saudi Arabia shot down drones on Thursday targeting the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh and Shaybah oil field in the south-east. The Ministry of Defense reported a number of attacks in a series of posts on X during the day.
“An enemy drone was shot down while attempting to approach” the Diplomatic Quarter in the capital, a ministry spokesman said early Thursday.
At least five drones were “intercepted and destroyed” later in the day in the Empty Quarter “heading toward the Shaybah oil field,” the statements said.
