The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have killed 14 terrorists during separate operations conducted in Quetta and Barkhan. CTD officials said a targeted operation was conducted in the Darakhshan area of Quetta following intelligence.
The operation resulted in a fierce exchange of fire, which led to the killing of 8 alleged terrorists. Three CTD personnel were injured during the clash and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities confirmed that a large amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants.
Security forces also cordoned off the area and conducted a comprehensive search operation. Initial reports indicate that the killed terrorists were affiliated with a banned outfit. In a separate intelligence-based operation in Barkhan, six more terrorists were killed during another exchange of fire. CTD officials stated that the terrorists were involved in subversive activities, and a significant amount of weapons and explosives were seized from them.
