COAS Vows Strong Security Measures to Safeguard Investors’ Confidence in Balochistan

On April 8, 2025, during the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 in Islamabad, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir assured that the military would establish a robust security framework to protect the interests of investors in Balochistan. He emphasized Pakistan’s potential to become a leader in the global mineral economy and invited international institutions to invest and share their expertise. To develop the sector, he noted that 27 students from Balochistan are currently receiving training in mineral exploration abroad. General Munir also highlighted the importance of investing in refining and value addition within Pakistan to enhance cost efficiency and market diversification.
