Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to complete the ongoing Punjab Development Plan by June 2026, aiming to make the province cleaner, more beautiful, and modern. The directive was issued during a special meeting chaired by the chief minister, in which a detailed review of all projects under the Punjab Development Plan was conducted to ensure transparency and timely completion.
Deputy Commissioners from Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Vehari, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, and Kasur presented progress reports directly to the chief minister. Maryam Nawaz stressed the need to fast-track sewerage, drainage, and other essential infrastructure projects across all cities. To ensure effective implementation, control rooms will be established at provincial and district levels, enabling real-time monitoring of all projects. The chief minister will personally oversee progress to ensure accountability.
