Civilian Killed in Ukraine Strike on Russia’s Belgorod Region

Belgorod authorities in Russia stated that on Sunday, a Ukrainian shelling struck a civilian killing one resident and damaging residential structures. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov verified a home hit in the border village killing one woman. Management of the Belgorod region was struck several times since the invasion of Ukraine by Moscow, and in many cases, the infrastructure of people was left unprotected. The Russian officials criticized the attack, and the Ukrainian leadership did not respond instantly.

Independent analysts characterize that Belgorod has become a hub of conflict over the last few months as the cross-border strikes are increasing in intensity, highlighting the expanding nature of the
conflict. The city authorities encouraged the population to take caution in the face of ongoing danger.
