Canada PM Apologizes to Donald Trump over Tariff Ad

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says he has apologized to Donald Trump for a political advertisement that angered the US president so much he terminated trade talks with Canada. “I did apologize to the president,” Carney said, when asked by a reporter about the issue today. “The president was offended by the ad. It’s not something I would have done … which is to put in place that advertisement, and so I apologized to him.” (BBC)
