Bride-to-Be Fatally Shot in Lahore Just Hours Before Wedding

A 23-year-old woman in Lahore was fatally shot in the head on the morning of her wedding day. The victim’s family alleges that her brother-in-law is responsible for the murder. According to the victim’s mother, Jameela Bibi, they heard gunfire around 5:30 a.m. and saw the suspect fleeing the scene with a gun. The victim was found lying on her bed with a fatal head wound. The suspect allegedly discarded the weapon in a nearby plot and feigned illness to escape. An FIR has been registered at the Sundar Police Station under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
