A young man lost his life after falling into a pit dug for a sewerage line in Pakpattan, rescue officials confirmed on Friday. According to Rescue 1122, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) had excavated a roadside pit on Haji Khurshid Road for the installation of a sewer line.
Rescue officials said that the boy suffered a severe head injury as a result of the fall. He was initially shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment and was later referred to Sahiwal due to his critical condition. Family members said that upon arrival at the hospital in Sahiwal, doctors examined him and pronounced him dead.
